70 Vendetta - The Old Lady By The Road
Would you help a helpless old lady if she needed help?
I was driving today along AMK Ave 3 and saw an old lady pushing a big trolley full of rubbish and cardboards. She happened to drop some plastic bags on the floor and had quite a hard time picking them up as they were scattered over the road. Even though there were passer-bys nearby, they ignored her. I wonder what our society has becomed?
I have been brought up (by values) that we should help old people esp those in need. When I saw that scenario, I wanted to get out of the car to help but couldn't as I could just cause a traffic jam behind me. It's like opportunity costs. One always outweighs the other.
I really fear growing older. What if that was me one day? I really dare not want to know what to think of.
