69 Vendetta - Technology Kills Traditions
How have we advanced through the years.
Remember pager services? Numbers can be used to represent certain expressions like 7734-2-09 (Go to hell in reverse) or 1-177155-4 (I miss you) or 17-31707-1 (I Love U). Then, there's message services. Call the operator and she leaves a written message on your pager.
How have technology advanced through these years. When was the last time you sent a snail mail? I remember when I was in secondary school, I had a penpal from Helsinki, Finland. We wrote to each other for 4 years and even echanged photos. She came to Singapore when I was in Sec4. I went to meet her in Westin and had a great time helping her shop, even though she spoke "OK" english.
Now, I'd probably get a penpal through e-mail which delivers my mail instantly. Then, there's no anticipation anymore and no point in getting a penpal.
Maybe once in a while, we should relive the good old traditional ways.
