Painful tattoo make me bleed
My 2nd tattoo was really painful, cos William used single needle all the way. The words were so fine, he had a hard time doing it. But he's so professional. Improvised a bit and made it real nice.
I lost quite a lot of blood. I think lost too much blood. And it's really painful now. Mr left arm is like twitching the whole day.
My 2nd Tattoo - Pic 3
Did it in 2 hours cos the lines are really fine.
Really love it. Blends and goes so well with the cross. My next tattoo is probably a celtic tree of life. Then my sons' names in old english gothic fonts. Then lastly, "Only God Will Judge Me" in Old english fonts as well on my back.
Can't wait......

My 2nd Tattoo - Feeling Stange
Today, I'm feeling a bit of strange. I'm getting my 2nd tattoo below my cross. If fact, I'm more satisfied with the 2nd design. Can't put it here cos not supported. But will post a pic as soon as I get it. Here I go, to hear the buzzing sound of needles again.
Tattoo - The painful process
How does a 1st tatto feels like?
A lot of people tell me, it's as good as having sex (it's true). Just imagine a Doc sticking a needle into your skin (like an injection). Instead of pumping whatever liquid into your body, he repeats the process on your skin. That's how it feels like. Of course, I'm talking about a small needle. Ok, imagine red ant bites on your arm over and over again. That's how it feels like.
It is actually bearable pain. My whole process took 2 1/2 hours (excluding choosing the pic, preparing the stencil, and preparing the needles and whatever cleaning equipment needed). My tattoo artist is one of Singapore's renowned who has a tattoo salon in Malaysia. It's really hard to get him but a friend recommended him to me so I got priority. Name's William. He got tattoo all over his working arm. The other arm is clean. Surprisingly, the friend who recommended me was a woman who had tattoos over her 2 arms.
His skill is really good. Since it was my 1st time, he used a needle (without ink) 1st to let me know the feeling. If it's ok, then he'll continue. The lines he draw are really fine and direct. No correction needed.
The most unbearable part was the shading and colouring. By then, I had been on the chair for close to 2 hours. When the shading and colouring was finally over, a few spots had bled due to excessive tattooing. My tattoo had shades of brown, orange, red and violet. That was the most painful part.
People have told me that tattooing is addictive. In fact, after my 1st tattoo, I agree wholeheartedly. I'm going for my 2nd one tomorrow.
My First Tattoo - Yippikayea
Finally got my 1st tattoo. It may seem out of shpe but actually it's because I stretch my arm on a table for this pic. Nevertheless, did not regret it the 1st time I saw this cross. Really liked the red coloured combinations. The tattoo master is really good. Thanks William.
Preview to my 1st Tattoo - Seizing my day
Today is the 13th of May 2005, I turn 29 tomorrow. Finally the big 3 is coming next year.
I've never celebrated my birthday every year after I was 21. Never saw the need to. I used to party all night before I turned 21, especially on my 21st birthday. But I guess they all died down after some tiring years of alchoholism.
This year, I decided to make it different. I decided to have tattoos (yes, more than 1) I was afraid of having a tattoo. Many chinese values stop me from doing this. 1) My parents would disown me 2) I may be setting a bad example for my children 3) Tattoos are always related to gangsterism 4) My relatives (older generation) may despise me. Casting all those reason aside, I decided to go ahead with it tomorrow.
Before deciding having a tattoo, I discussed it with my wife who used to be all against it. I told her that I wanted to do something right and for myself once in my life. We talked over it and she finally agreed on it. For once, I decided to do something, ignoring what others may think about me, something for ME and ME alone. I wanted to have it before I hit 30.
Before deciding, I searched websites to see how the first time it would be. Most say it's just like ant bites, but it's the 2 weeks after tattooing that's important. Cos the better you take care of it in that 2 weeks, the better it'd look for the rest of your life.
I've decided on 3 designs :
1) A celtic cross / Tribal cross on my left arm
2) 2 banners bearing 2 of my son's name with a picture (yet decided, will ask the artist to recommend) on my right arm
3) These word on my back "Only God Will Judge Me" in gothic font
Design 1 and 3 were difficult to decide cos my parents are staunch buddhist. Putting those would certainly aggravate them. But they do not know the recent years, I was led back to Christ again and a born again Christian.
I will end this blog now cos I'm so excited about tomorrow. After the tattoo, I will certainly write another entry to say the whole process.
