57 Vendetta - Amazing
A Song to summarise a part of my life whereby I :
I kept the right ones out
And let the wrong ones in
Had an angel of mercy to see me through all my sins
There were times in my life
When I was goin’ insane
Tryin’ to walk throughThe pain
When I lost my grip
And I hit the floor
Yeah,i thought I could leave but couldn’t get out the door
I was so sick and tired
Of livin’ a lie
I was wishin that I Would die
It’s amazing
With the blink of an eye
you finally see the light
It’s amazing
When the moment arrives that you know you’ll be alright
It’s amazing
And I’m sayin’ a prayer for the desperate hearts tonight
That one last shot’s a permanent vacation
And how high can you fly with broken wings?
Life’s a journey not a destination
And I just can’t tell just what tomorrow brings
You have to learn to crawl
Before you learn to walk
But I just couldn’t listen to all that righteous talk, oh yeah
I was out on the street
Just tryin’ to survive
Scratchin’ to stayAlive

56 Vendetta - The best years have gone by
I must admit, I am getting old.
My best years have gone by and I have not achieved much in those years. I'm still struggling to keep things in place, to live my life with the amount of financial asset I have. What the hell am I doing?
I had the chance to become one of the most popular franchisees in Singapore but I did not blew it. I was dismay by what others had told me about the negative sides of the franchise. Now, I just wished that I hadn't chosen that path in the first place. I should have stuck on my decision and went on with it.
Make your decision right today. If you wanna do it, just go ahead with it.

55 Vendetta - Shocking Gay Church
Are gays and lesbians actually following the word of the lord?
I just found out that there is actually a gay church in Singapore whereby all the members do not discriminate against gays or lesbians. More shocking, my ex-churchmate, who was a powerful outreach speaker was actually one of the leaders in the church. He openly declared that he was in fact a gay.
I had suspected years ago as he was on the feminine side all along. But he did led a lot of youngster to Christ whenever I did outreach with him. In fact, I attended numerous Good Fridays sermons with him and saw the power of the lord in him. He was a big brother to me who taught me lots of stuffs.
The news was shocking to me. As a strong follower of the word of God, I do not think it is right to be gay. Neither am I a heretic. But remember in Noah's time, God was so furious with all the sins and filth that he only saved Noah and his family. It is still the case today and thousands of years and forever until his 2nd coming.
I do not agree with the fact that gays and lesbians can openly say they are like that and attend churches. Of course, everyone can serve God, but how can you preach and share God's words when you do not even follow them in the first place? Churches can accept followers who are gays and lesbians, but they should try to convert them and not allow them to bring their influence to churces.
If I meet someone who's not straight, and he/she trys to share the word of God with me, I will rebuke him with the word of God from the old testament.
"God hates Gays and Lesbians so what makes you a true servant of God? It has been said in the bible umpteen times. How can you expect me to follow you when you yourself is not following the word of God?"
This news just serves as a wake-up call to me. It further emphasize that the 2nd coming is near. Revelation is manifesting before our very eyes and we don't even know it. Every hour, minute, second.
God be merciful and help us all.

53 Vendetta - Drug Buster part 2
Drug addicts are victims, not criminals.
I remember 6 years ago, I just came out of the army. I had a group of friends who were drug addicts. They took ecstasy, cocaine, marijuana or any other stuff that they can get hold of. I tried very hard to comvert them, to get them to drop the habit. But as we all know, cold turkey only works if you can bear to see them suffer, and if you have supervision and proper control from Drug Rehab Centres. If you ever hear someone who quit by going "cold turkey" on his own, he's a lying bastard, or he has never taken drugs before.
One of them in the group was a drug peddlar so it was easy to get hold of drugs. Drug peddlars are inhuman. Even if they know that you want to quit, as friends they will still sell it to you for the profit. But that's not all (wait till you read the ending)
I took 2 of my friends to join a company doing sales of air ionizers. It was hard work but the profit was good. One day, 1 of them did not turn up. When we tried to pick him up from his home, we could already smell marijuana from the corridor. He opened the door and totally did not know what the hell he was talking about. We tried to ask him out of his house but he wouldn't. In fact, he started making a ruckus. So instead, we left hurriedly and asked him to call us again the next day. Even though we knew it was wrong, we did not call the police.
A few years later, I heard that most of them were caught. 2 of them sentenced to 1 year imprisonment and I do not know about the rest. The drug peddlar, however was still around. It turns out that he actually sold them out to the police. By being the informer, he was paid monies from the Bureau.
So ultimately, who stands to gain from everything? Do I need to say more? Bust the peddlars/the drug lords and you can stop the distribution.

52 Vendetta - Drug Buster part 1
Bust the drug lords!!!
My first encounter with drugs was not in Singapore. It was in USA. I was in Honolulu with my parents as a 15 year old kid on a holiday. My elder brother was 17 and he just came back from Australia after studying. He was to be enlisted in the army but he thought of having a holiday first. We would take a map from the hotel, and wander around, shopping and eating. We didn't really need adult supervision. Our freedom and ability to take care of ourself was due to the fact that our parents were never around on weekdays/weekends.
While sitting down for a smoke (Yup, I actually started at 14, before the law of "above 18" was enforced), I was approached by a usual guy (jeans, polo tee) and he asked me if I wanted "Grass" or "coke". I didn't really know what their relations were (coke and grass?) so I asked him what it was. Luckily, my brother came and said "no thanks, he's too young for those". Then the guy asked my brother if he wanted some. He said "I quit, thanks anyway" and he hurriedly ushered me away.
Till this day, I still wonder if he did take coke or grass while in Australia. I don't think it meant a great deal to him or in Australia. But I was grateful he protected me from drugs that day.

51 Vendetta - Hankerchiefs, The Gentleman Image
Does anyone still carry hankerchiefs around their pockets?
I remember when I was in Primary School, my mum would always slip a neatly folded hankerchief into my shirt pocket. The hankerchief would most of the time have the initial of my family name. It is used to wipe sweat or to sneeze into. Many years later, I grew up and stop this habit. Not because I don't need it anymore. It's just that it has been replaced by tissue papers and it's not a habit that has found favour with girls.
Now, majority of the male does not carry a hankerchief anymore. You'd probably see older generations carry one (Those referred to as "old school"). It is seen as unhygenic and uncouth. You take out a hankerchief in front of a woman, they go "EEeeeeewwww!!! Got no tissue ah?" Of course, there are also those who takes out "Creased and crumpled" hankerchiefs out of their pockets. Those that totally expedites the destruction of the "Manly" image for us. But these perceptions only apply in Singapore.
In other foreign countries, it is still a sign of manliness/gentlemaness (Are there such words?) I was in USA and almost every working adult would have one in their suit/pocket. Neatly folded. It's mostly used for sneezing and coughing, not so much for wiping their sweat cos their climate is not so humid.
So if I have the chance again, I would certainly adopt this habit again. I'm not gonna mind what others may say. But first, I gotta go shop for them. Any suggestions?

47 Vendetta - Avoid at all costs
A daughter is a daughter for life
A son is a son until he takes a wife.....
Didn't we hear that somewhere before? Yes, can find on the net from famous quotes. But sincerely, I say this : Avoid a son or daughter at all costs.
Our chinese values are such that we must have children (esp sons) so that we can carry on the legacy of our surname. In my eyes and in the opinion of lots of other people, this has become bullshit.
If 1 day, you can finally have the responsibility of having your own children, then get ready to say goodbye to your sexual life. Disagree? check the statistics of Singaporeans having sex a week. It's pathetic. My sex life is pathetic and I'm speaking from experience.
I don't understand why would anyone want to have children. The only reason I could think of is probably bearing responsibility.

44 Vendetta - Unforgetable Valentine's Day
On the 14th of February, everything costs more. That includes roses and dinner. But what the heck, it's valentine's day
I remember some of my worst valentine's day ever had. Of course there were some good ones and some perfect ones. Let me continue on those bad ones. The worst is when your partner breaks-up with you days before valentine's day. It makes breaking-up "DAMN" hard to do. Another bad valentine's day is like waiting more than 1 hour for the girl. Girls are known to be late for dates. But since it's valentine's day, it makes them excusable?
I remember my friend was working at a KTV/PUB. It's one of those days when business is not brisk and there's nothing you can do about it. Most who come are those who have no dates or have just lost one. My friend was stuck the whole night singing duets with those people (My friend's a SHE). That was one day she promised would never work again.
Lastly, I think valentine's day do not have to be celebrated on a 1-on-1 date. You can ask any opposite sex (who's not attached, Obviously, DUH) or a group to go and have a nice dinner and walk.
I believe that no-one deserves to be alone on valentine's day

43 Vendetta - Send an apology to those whom you owe one
It takes a person of great humility to apologise, and not everyone can do it.
Whenever I come across a death, it always moves me greatly as I always think we never know when we're gonna leave this world. I am a Christian so I believe that I will ultimately see whoever I know in heaven (only if they are saved by grace).
If I could start a movement, I would start a "Apologise before it's too late" movement. Nobody wants to leave this world as one who is hated by all (except Doctors, Lawyers and Politicians). I have already started it on my own. I have started calling friends or apologising to those I owe an apology by e-mails.
It's really a great feeling and it just feels like a burden lifted off my chest. But please do it only if you mean it.....

41 Vendetta - Walk This Way Please
Jaywalkers should be jailed. They are the reason why drivers are being jailed for knocking them down.
I live in an estate where people would rather walk on the road than on the pavement. In this estate, cars give way to pedestrians. If you see people on the road, then pls slow down. Such that cars pile up behind and force jams during evening time. Imagine tons of people getting down from buses, then crossing the road, paying no regards to whoever is driving. It becomes a chore sometimes.
If it's after 7pm, then I high beam them all the way. I try not to horn cos it's irritating to the neighbourhood. Maybe they can make the pavements bigger, or maybe the people just don't understand road safety. Whatever it is, it's best to put a big sign "Please Walk On The Pavements". I mean, then it's like "CAN'T YOU READ?"
I hope people don't grow bigger, cos if they do, then probably the road isn't wide enough for the both of them.

40 Vendetta - The Truth Behind Suicides
For once, I finally understand why a person can be driven to suicide....
I always wonder how a person can just jump off a block or hang him/herself when he/she has no courage to live on. The truth is, these people probably are at their wit's end involving issues we will never know.
Imagine a middle level manager, OD abt 30000, credit card abt 30000 (abt 3 cards), other cashline services abt 40000. That's about $100,000 (low estimate). Didn't include other installments, insurance, investments. If he gets retrenched, then everything collapses like dominoes laid out on a floor. If the min payments are not settled, then interests add on to it. So it's like oweing more and more. Even if he gets a lower paying job, there goes the ability to pay for all those he owes. So what happens?
He tries to beg, steal, borrow but to no avail. He hangs on to these debts for 6 months to 1 year. Can you imagine having stress of not knowing when you'll ever (or even never) repay back all you've owed?
Hanging on to these burdens for 1 year is enough, imagine having to come home to a nagging wife/screaming kids. Having phone calls and reminders regarding payments. That's the last straw. He jumps off the block. Insurance coverage will settle almost everything.
Stress is the no.1 killer for all mankind, especially Singaporeans. If you can't have it, don't force it.

39 Vendetta- A great soundtrack makes the movie better
Movies and Soundtracks are like men and women....
A man without a woman is like watching a "B" grade movie like "open water". Then there's Bad soundtracks, Good ones and "Totally Awesome Dude" types. I've seen some Guys who are like "B" grade movies and their soundtracks like are "Moulin Rouge". Then there's some girls who are like "Jason X soundtracks" and their guys like "LOTR" movies.
It's really hard to find a "great movie" with a "great soundtrack"....Hmm I wonder why.
Have our standard of asking for a partner been so failing that we just totally grab whoever that comes along?
No wonder people are going to look for overseas bride. At least it's a "average" movie but with a "Vietnamese" soundtrack.

38 Vendetta - My sole famous quote
I would rather share one lifetime with you...
Than face all the ages of this world alone...
I choose.........a mortal life.
Than face all the ages of this world alone...
I choose.........a mortal life.
It's the quote spoken by Arwen Evenstar to Lord Aragorn professing her love for him from the movie, The Lord of the Rings....
Today, if you have someone who loves you more than you love him/her, then don't let go of that person. Cos it's always blessed in "being loved more" than "having to love more". Unless you're a self-professed Narcissist, then maybe you can give up the idea and love yourself more and sticking mirrors where-ever you go.
What goes around, comes around. Ye shall reap what ye sow.

37 Vendetta - Never say Goodbye
As I sit in this smokey room
The night about to end
I pass my time with strangers
But this bottle’s my only friend
Remember when we used to park on
butler street out in the dark
Remember when we lost the keys and
you lost more than that in my backseat baby
Remember when we used to talk
About busting out - we’d break their hearts
Together - forever
One of my favourite songs....Personal experiences, I say.
